Christopher Caldwell

Christopher Caldwell (1962) is an American journalist, essayist and political commentator. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, he graduated from Harvard University. He is a contributing editor at the Claremont Review of Books and a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times. He was previously a senior editor at the Weekly Standard and a columnist for the Financial Times. His research focuses on the relationship between national identity, immigration, religion, political culture and the transformation of Western democracies.
He is the author of Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam and the West (2009), which was widely discussed internationally and published in Italy as L’ultima rivoluzione dell’Europa (Garzanti, 2009), and the New York Times bestseller The Age of Entitlement: America Since the Sixties (2020), which examines the political and cultural evolution of the contemporary United States.
