Toscano Ivan

Ivan Toscano is an expert in European policies on vocational training, labour market integration and development cooperation, and a senior international programme manager with over twenty years’ experience at Fondazione VIS – Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo and Fondazione CNOS-FAP, two of the Salesian organisations behind the Italy-Africa project presented during the panel discussion.

Since 2005, he has been a Desk Officer and International Programme Manager for both organisations, with direct responsibility for the design, management, quality control and impact assessment of programmes co-funded by European and international donors, implemented in Europe and Africa.

The programmes managed focus on skills development, vocational training, employment integration, business development and capacity building for public and private sector stakeholders, with an impact on education and vocational training systems. Since 2009, he has been a lecturer at universities and on postgraduate master’s programmes on Project Cycle Management.
