Piero Vietti

Piero Vietti (Turin, 1981) is an Italian journalist who has worked for Tempi since 2021, where he writes and helps organize events for the magazine. Previously, he spent fourteen years at Il Foglio, where he led the web newsroom, served as deputy editor, and was editor in charge of the weekly sports supplement. He also has a background in radio.
In January 2026, he published in Tempi a series of editorial and commentary articles on contemporary issues such as rights, war, freedom, and artificial intelligence, including “Rights, war, freedom. Pope Leo XIV calls things by their name” and “The hypocrisy of those who mourn the death of international law after Maduro’s capture.”
Piero Vietti is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory on Communication and Digital Media at LUISS Guido Carli’s School of Government, where he is listed among the experts selected to contribute to studies and research in the field of media and political communication.
