Scelza Cristiana

Cristiana Scelza is President of Valore D, an association of companies that since 2009 has promoted gender balance and an inclusive culture within organizations and across Italy. She had previously served as a Board Member of the association.

Originally from Salerno, Scelza has a strong STEM background: she holds a degree with honors in Inorganic Chemistry and an EMBA from the Kellogg School of Management – WHU Otto Beisheim University. She began her career at Pirelli Cavi in 1997 and joined the Industrial Cable Business Unit in 2003, starting a new path within Prysmian. In this role, she supported the implementation of new products and technologies across nearly 100 factories in 50 countries, expanding her international experience and professional profile.

From 2014 to 2019, she served as Director of the SURF Market (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines), overseeing the production and sale of umbilical cables and flexible pipes for Brazil and the rest of the world. From 2019 to early 2023, she was CEO of Prysmian Group in Russia. In 2023, she became Country Manager for Prysmian in the Netherlands, leading a team of 700 people and managing over €500 million in sales. Since January 2024, she has been Executive Vice President Electrification.

She is co-creator and project leader of Side by Side, Prysmian Group’s international diversity and inclusion initiative aimed at fostering a multicultural work environment and promoting women’s participation at all levels of the company.
