Tommaso Piffer

Tommaso Piffer is a research fellow at the University of Milan and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. He has published Il banchiere della Resistenza (Mondadori, 2005) and Gli Alleati e la Resistenza italiana (Il Mulino, 2010). He has also edited Società totalitarie e transizione alla democrazia. Saggi in memoria di Victor Zaslavsky (with Vladislav Zubok, Il Mulino, 2011) and Porzûs. Violenza e Resistenza sul confine orientale (Il Mulino, 2012). He is Associate Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Udine and, since 1 October 2025, also the Rector’s Delegate for Education in Peace and Nonviolence.
