Who we are
Francesco Moscone

Francesco Moscone is a Professor of Business Economics at Brunel University London and an Associate Professor at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. At Brunel, he leads the Healthcare Management and Wellbeing area and has held leadership roles such as Divisional Lead, MBA Program Director, and Director of Internationalization. At Ca’ Foscari, he is a member of the Scientific Council of the “Ca’ Foscari Research Hub for Global Challenges” and Coordinator of the Research Institute for Social Innovation. He also teaches policy evaluation at Ca’ Foscari.
His research focuses on healthcare management and wellbeing, exploring the sustainability of healthcare expenditure from both demand and supply perspectives. He supervises theses on topics such as SME credit risk, hospital productivity, and the sustainability of healthcare systems.
He earned a PhD in Economics from King’s College London in 2007, and an MSc and BA in Financial and Business Economics from the University of Essex. He has worked at prestigious academic institutions including the University of Leicester, University of Cambridge, and the London School of Economics (LSE).
He is co-editor of Contributions to Economic Analysis for Emerald Publishing and a member of the Italian Parliamentary Technical-Scientific Intergroup on Risk Prevention and Reduction.
