De Luca Sandro

Sandro De Luca has been working in international cooperation and programme management since 1990. He spent more than six years on long-term missions in Kenya, Ecuador and the Balkans, gaining extensive experience in around 25 countries across Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, also through short-term assignments.

Since 2002 he has worked with the Italian NGO CISP – International Committee for the Development of Peoples, where he has held several roles, including Director of the Africa Geographic Area. In this position he coordinated local offices, monitored projects and provided strategic and methodological guidance for the identification, design, implementation and evaluation of interventions.

From July 2019 to June 2025 he served as CISP’s Director General. Since June 2025 he has been Vice President of CISP.
Since May 2025 he has been President of the NGO network LINK 2007.

He teaches in postgraduate courses in Italy and abroad on topics related to cooperation and humanitarian action. He is the author of several essays and articles on humanitarian aid, migration and development cooperation.
