Delfanti Maurizio

Maurizio Delfanti is a full professor of Electrical Energy Systems at the Department of Energy at the Politecnico di Milano, where he has been conducting research and teaching since 2001. From 2019 to 2023, he served as Chief Executive Officer of RSE (Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico), working to support institutions in the field of energy planning (PNIEC; LTS).

Throughout his career, he has coordinated research and consultancy projects for ARERA, companies and operators in the electricity sector. He has also chaired national (CEI) and international (CENELEC) committees and commissions focusing on renewable energy sources, electricity markets, smart grids and energy storage systems.

He coordinates the Technical Steering Committee (CTS) of Italia Solare, which promotes the dissemination of knowledge on renewable energy sources and their integration into the energy system’s development pathways.

He is the author of over 100 publications on the management of electricity systems in the sector’s most prestigious scientific journals.
