Representatives of the Ss. Angeli Custodi Family Home in Russi (RA), one of the 500 care homes run by the Pope John XXIII Community, founded by Don Oreste Benzi, which operates in over 40 countries across all five continents.
They live permanently at the centre with their three biological children, three other children they have taken to their hearts, and Elisa’s 91-year-old grandmother.

Over the past thirty years, around 150 people have lived with them, some for a short time, others for decades. In the family home, there is no one who saves or is saved, but everyone is saved together, because there is no one who has nothing to receive and no one who has nothing to give.
The family home is an integral part of the other initiatives of the Pope John XXIII Community, like a single family that shares life and walks in harmony with the great family of the Church. Every day, 42,000 people sit at the one global table.
