Debela Adugna

Dr. Adugna Debela serves as Director General of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) since 2018, leading institutional reforms that have strengthened Ethiopia’s coffee value chain across market access, export performance, and value addition.

He holds a PhD in coffee ecophysiology and agronomy from Wageningen University and brings decades of expertise in agricultural policy and sector development, shaped by academic and leadership roles at Jimma University and within Ethiopia’s national agricultural institutions.
