Salvatore Gentile

Agricultural Scientist, specialising in precision irrigation and the design of innovative irrigation systems, with an academic background in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in integrating geospatial data, field sensors and predictive models to optimise water use in agriculture. He is responsible for the technical and functional design of irrigation systems, monitoring networks and agricultural hydraulics applications, from the preliminary study through to the implementation phase, with a particular focus on water efficiency.

He has taken part in numerous cooperation and research projects at national and European level, contributing to the development of digital tools for decision support, the automation of irrigation systems and the management of natural resources. His expertise ranges from territorial analysis using GIS and satellite data to agro-hydrological modelling, with the aim of making water management smarter, more resilient and better tailored to farmers’ needs.
