Who we are
Zarri Francesca

Born in 1969 in Bologna, she holds a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering.
Chair of Assorisorse since December 2025; in her role at Eni, she manages Eni’s three oil and gas production districts in Italy: the Northern District, based in Ravenna; the Southern District, based in Viggiano; and ENIMED, based in Gela. Since June 2024, she has also held the role of Chair of the OMC Med Energy Conference and Exhibition, the leading energy event in the Mediterranean, and successfully led the 2025 edition.
She began her career at Eni in 1996 in the Reservoir Management Department as a modeller and engineer and, over the years, took on increasingly senior roles, developing expertise in the energy sector at both national and international levels. In 2000, he worked on assets operated by Eni in Scotland (North Sea). From 2004 to 2006, he was head of the Adriatic offshore projects at the Ravenna District and subsequently head of the Production Optimisation Technology unit. From 2007 to 2010, he focused on West Africa, serving as Project Director in the Congo, where he successfully completed new and challenging project activities.
In 2011, he broadened his experience by taking on the roles of Head of the Americas Upstream Region and Head of Procurement Services and Professional Functions. During the same period, she represented Eni on the Commercial Committee of the South Stream Project. In 2013, she returned to oversee the development of upstream projects as Vice President for Technical Coordination and Monitoring of West African Projects and subsequently at Eni Congo as Director of Development Projects, where she also took on the role of President of the Enrico Mattei School in Pointe Noire. In 2017, she returned to Italy to take up the role of Head of the Southern District until November 2019, when she was appointed Senior Vice President for the Co-ordination of Italian Operations.
From June 2020 to May 2024, she served as Director of Technology, R&D & Digital; during this period, she represented Eni on the Steering Board of the MITEI (Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative) and on the Board of Directors of the ICSC Foundation (National Centre for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing).
She is Chair of Eniservizi and a member of the Executive Board of Assolombarda.
Since 2014, she has served as a director on the boards of various Eni subsidiaries, both in Italy and abroad.
