Chiara Frigeni

Chiara Frigeni (Bergamo, 12 March 1980) is the headteacher of the In-Presa Vocational Training Centre in Carate Brianza, an educational organisation founded by Emilia Vergani and dedicated to training and supporting young people into employment. For over twenty years, she has been working in the field of vocational training and youth education, with a particular focus on inclusion, prevention and combating early school leaving.
The In-Presa method is based on a person-centred approach, the value of experience and the educational responsibility of adults. She regularly speaks at conferences and meetings dedicated to the themes of education, vocational training and the partnership between schools and businesses. These include the conference Follow Me. The Youth Education Crisis, Early School Leaving and In-Presa (Lecco, 2022), organised as part of the exhibition dedicated to Emilia Vergani. She is the author of papers and articles on the educational value of work placements and work-study programmes, including ‘Non usate le tragedie per distruggere l’alleanza tra scuola e lavoro< (Don’t use tragedies to destroy the partnership between schools and the world of work)’, published in 2022 in the magazine Tempi.
