Derchi Massimo

Massimo Derchi, born in Genoa in 1963, has been Snam’s Chief Infrastructure Operations, Engineering & Construction Officer since November 2025.

He previously held the role of Chief Operations Officer at the company.

A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genoa, he has gained extensive experience in the energy sector, holding positions in investment, M&A, procurement and strategic planning.

He began his career with the Erg Group, where he was a Project Manager and head of overseas projects, before becoming Project Director at Air Liquide Italia and subsequently leading the Italian branches of international plant engineering companies.

Upon returning to Erg, he held senior management positions and, from 2011 to 2016, as CEO of Erg Renew, played a leading role in transforming Erg into one of Europe’s top ten onshore wind energy producers, expanding its presence across seven European countries.

He has served as a senior adviser to Italian and international energy groups.
