Basso Ingrid

Ingrid Basso is Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
Her research has focused primarily on the philosophy of Søren Kierkegaard, particularly in relation to the crisis of German Idealism and, more specifically, to the relationship between Kierkegaard and the philosophy of the later Schelling. She has been a Visiting Professor at the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil, and at the University of Wuppertal (Bergische Universität Wuppertal), Germany.
She also collaborates with several publishing houses as a translator and consultant for Danish and Norwegian literature, and with Alias, the cultural supplement of the Italian newspaper Il Manifesto, as a contributor on Scandinavian literature.

Her major academic publications include Kierkegaard uditore di Schelling (Kierkegaard as a Listener to Schelling, 2008), Søren Kierkegaard e la metafisica di Aristotele (Søren Kierkegaard and Aristotle’s Metaphysics, 2014), and Verità e storia in Søren Kierkegaard (Truth and History in Søren Kierkegaard, 2019). She has also translated into Italian several works related to the Danish philosopher, including Schelling’s Berlin Lectures on the Philosophy of Revelation (Bompiani, 2009), Polemica contro Heiberg (Polemic against Heiberg, ETS, 2021), The Seducer’s Diary (Feltrinelli, 2020), and In Vino Veritas (Feltrinelli 2021).
