Marco Peronio

Marco Peronio

Marco Peronio has been a member of the Catholic movement Communion and Liberation since he encountered it in high school in the 1980s. He graduated in Electronic Engineering in Padua and obtained a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurophysiology in Ferrara. He is currently a research technologist at the OGS (National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics), where he has long been involved in well geophysics and subsequently in applied seismology. In 2003, he switched to part-time work in this role to head the “Il Mosaico” Consortium of Social Cooperatives in Gorizia. This is an organisation that seeks to address the social needs it encounters in the area to which it feels it belongs, between the provinces of Gorizia and Udine. Il Mosaico develops both welfare and business initiatives for the employment of disadvantaged people in a variety of fields. Marco is happily married to Cosetta and they have three beautiful daughters: Teresa, Lucia and Agnese. Grateful to the many friends who accompany him in these and many other aspects of life, he remains open to new adventures, faithful to the motto of Blessed Tovini: “From friendship comes work, from work comes friendship”.
