De Santis Davide

A father of four daughters, he holds a degree in Business Economics from the University of Bologna and is a partner at Mbs srl, a company specialising in management consultancy for businesses and the public sector, providing services in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and oversight of regional development policies.

In 2011, together with his wife and a number of friends, he founded the La Mongolfiera ODV Association, of which he is currently president. For 15 years, the association has been helping and supporting families with children with disabilities or facing hardship, with a particular focus on education and learning. Over time, the association has grown considerably and, in 2026, supported around 450 families in Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy. As well as providing financial support to cover the additional costs that families with children with disabilities face in their social and educational journey, the volunteers at La Mongolfiera offer companionship to families by sharing in their moments of struggle and joy: this is the first step towards realising that they are not alone, in the certainty that their child is always a gift.
