Massimo Monacelli

Massimo Monacelli (Turin, May 26, 1968), married and father of two children, holds a degree in Law from the University of Turin.
Since 2022, he has been General Manager of Generali Italia, with responsibility for business management and the integration program with Cattolica Assicurazioni. In this role, he led the completion of the integration plan between the two companies, announcing the creation of the largest network of insurance advisors in Italy and promoting a strategy focused on training, skills enhancement, and the development of distribution networks.
From 2014 to 2022, he served as Chief Property & Casualty Officer at Generali Italia, with the objective of integrating and optimizing pricing, underwriting, and claims management activities within the non-life business. During the same period, he held corporate positions in several Group companies and was a member of the non-life commission of ANIA.
Previously, from 1996 to 2014, he worked at AXA Assicurazioni, where he held several roles, including Head of the Northern Department and Head of Claims.
In 2025, he emphasized Generali Italia’s role as a leader in supplementary healthcare and Long Term Care, highlighting a network of over 13,000 affiliated facilities and presenting technological investments and new welfare models. He also took part in the launch of “Attiva Welfare,” a digital multi-risk solution dedicated to businesses and families, and promoted an agency model centered on the key role of agents within the integration framework with Cattolica.
