Ibrahim Mohamad Mahdi Chamseddine is the president of the Association for Charity and Culture and is a founder member of the Lebanese Forum for Dialogue. He is also the founder of the “Imam Shamsuddin Foundation for Dialogue”, a civil organization which aims at spreading culture of dialogue and peace and was a founder-member of the association, “Together Around Saint Mary”.
He is a lecturer and active participator in many conferences, seminars and meetings in Lebanon and abroad, about political issues, Islamic-Christian dialogue and issues of Islamic Unity. He has written many articles about Lebanese and regional political issues, national unity and Islamic – Christian dialogue.
From July 2008 until November 2009 he was the Minister of State for Administrative Reform for Lebanon. He was also the vice-president of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) from 1991 to 1996.
In 1996, he received the honor of Commander from the president of the Republic of Italy.
Ibrahim Mohamad Mahdi Chamseddineholds a bachelor of arts in political sciences and public administration (PSPA) from AUB and (UCI) University of California, Irvine, and a MBA from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
