The restoration of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is something more than just an incredible work from a cultural, historical, and artistic point of view. With a historic agreement, three different Christian churches – Ortodox, Catholic and Armenian – have decided to embark upon the restoration of the Basilica. The exhibition shows the human adventure of the restoration process from an artistic, historical, archaeological and logistical perspective. The restoration is now being carried out by a real artesan workshop made up of men and women of the XXIst century; with the support of advanced technologies, their work consists in respecting, imitating and reproducing the gestures of those people who had been building the Basilica in the Holy Land for centuries.
