Forza Italia’s group leader in the Chamber of Deputies since 2018.
She entered politics in 1998 when she was elected to the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda for Forza Italia’s party. Since 2002 he has been Councilor for the Territory of the Province of Brescia and since 2004 for Agriculture. In 2005 she became Regional Councillor of Lombardy and Regional Coordinator of Forza Italia, until May 2019.
Deputy since 2006, she was Minister of Education, University and Research in the fourth Berlusconi government and was appointed deputy group leader of the Forza Italia movement in the Chamber of Deputies in the 17th Legislature.
In October 2015 she was elected President of the Garda Community and in June 2016 she was elected City Councilor of Milan.
