Andrea Varnier

Andrea Varnier, 58, from Verona, is the CEO of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.
With over thirty years of experience, Varnier has worked in various sectors such as communications, events, sports and entertainment. He has held various positions, both on the client side in large corporate organisations and as director of an Olympic Games Organising Committee. He has also been a consultant for major sports organisations and has served as CEO for complex international projects.
His sports career began in 2001 as Director of Image and Events for the Organising Committee of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin. After the Turin Olympics, he became a consultant to the IOC in the field of Olympic event and ceremony planning. He was also CEO of Filmmaster Events, a video production company that oversaw the opening ceremonies of the last Olympics and several editions of the European Football Championship since 2012 (Poland and Ukraine).
Previously, Andrea Varnier was Chief Executive Officer of Costa Edutainment Spa, a Costa Group company that manages major aquariums and amusement parks in Italy, including the Genoa Aquarium.
