Seravesi Simona

Simona Seravesi is a Social Scientist with over fifteen years of experience in the global health sector. Her expertise lies in analysing and developing policy papers on thematic dossiers related to public health and nutrition by working closely with the Italian Government, including the Prime Minister Office (G8/G7 and G20 Summits), the World Health Organization and International Non-Governmental Organizations. She has extensive expertise in working at country-level with several years spent in Sudan, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Pakistan. In 2020, she was appointed as Adviser on Global Health at the Prime Minister Office in Italy under the Sherpa G20 office and she was in charge of carrying out negotiations and building consensus among the G20 members in close collaboration with the G20 Health Ministries. She has been working with WHO for many years within the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety at the Headquarter level to follow up the Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2) and the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition 2016-2025.
