Marco Trabucchi

He graduated in medicine from the University of Padua, specialised in psychiatry in Milan, spent a year working as a doctor in Uganda, and then three years at St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington DC, part of the National Institute of Mental Health.
He subsequently taught neuropsychopharmacology at Tor Vergata University in Rome. He was president of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and is currently President of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics; he founded the IRCCS San Giovanni di Dio in Brescia, dedicated to the study, research and care of neurodegenerative diseases.
He is scientific director of the Geriatric Research Group in Brescia. He is the author of over 600 indexed scientific papers.
