Sudar Pero

Born on 07.03.1951 in Bare, Diocese of Vrhbosna – Sarajevo.

He held the minor seminary in Zagreb and Dubrovnik; while the big one in Sarajevo. He studied canon law at Gregoriana and Urbaniana, where he graduated with a thesis titled “The concept of the physical person in the order of the Church”.
Back in the diocese he covered several positions including Judicial Vicar, Law Professor, Rector of the Major Seminary and Dean of Theology. He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Sarajevo on May 10, 1993. In the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina he served as President of the Justice and Peace Commission and the Councils: Relations with the State, Interreligious Dialogue, Promoter of Catholic Schools for Europe, Council for the Material Rebuilding of the Diocese and Council for Catholic Croatians Abroad.
