Anujeet Sareen was born in New Delhi, India in 1972. His parents moved to the United States when he was five and he grew up in Brooklyn, New York, along with his two younger sisters. Anujeet’s father was a businessman who ran a grocery story in Coney Island and his mother was a librarian in the Brooklyn Public Library system. He attended Phillips Academy Andover high school and Brown University in the Boston area, which is where he now lives with his wife and children. For the past twenty years, Anujeet has been working as a global portfolio manager and markets strategist for a large investment firm, focusing on the economic, political, and cultural drivers of stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies.
