Marmolejo Francisco

Francisco Marmolejo is the Tertiary Education Coordinator at the World Bank (WB) where he serves as the WB’s focal point on the topic of higher education, and provides advice and support to country-level related projects that the Bank has in more than 60 countries.
Previously, he served as founding Executive Director of the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC), an international network of more than 160 higher education institutions based at the University of Arizona, USA, where he also worked as Assistant Vice President. Born in Mexico, he served as Vice President at the University of the Americas in Mexico City.
He has served as International Consultant at OECD and WB’s peer review higher education teams in Europe, Latin America & the Caribbean, Middle East, Africa and Asia. He serves on several advisory and governing boards in universities and organisations, including the Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
