Luigi Manconi teaches Sociology of Political Phenomena at the University IULM of Milan. He is a senator of the Republic and President of the Commission for the Protection of Human Rights. Manconi was a member of Parliament from 1994 to 2001 and Undersecretary of State for Justice from 2006 to 2008. He was a Guarantor for the protection of human rights of persons deprived of liberty for the City Administration of Rome from 2003 to 2006. Since 2001, Manconi has been the President of the Association “A Buon Diritto”. Among his recent books are Corpo e anima.
