Demattè Angela

Born in Trento in 1980, graduated in Modern Literature at the State University of Milan, she graduated in 2005 at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici. In 2009 she began her activity as a playwright and won the 50th Riccione Award with her first text “I had a beautiful red ball” and the Golden Graal Award for the rising star for theatre. 

 The text is staged by Carmelo Rifici, with whom she begins a fruitful collaboration that gives birth to some shows: “Officina -soria di una famiglia (Tthe workshop – history of a family)”, produced like the previous one by the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, the project ” Chi resta (Who stays)” (written with Renato Gabrielli and Roberto Cavosi), “ Clitennestra o la morte della tragedia (Clytemnestra or the death of tragedy)” for Elisabetta Pozzi produced by Teatro Due in Parma, “Il compromesso (The compromise)”, written for the students of the Accademia dei Filodrammatici. 

 With the same director she wrote “Ifigenia, liberata” produced by the LAC of Lugano and the Piccolo Teatro of Milan. Among the other texts staged: “Stragiudamento” and “Lungh’me la Fabrica del Domm” (directed by Andrea Chiodi), “Stava la madre” (winner of the Teatro del Sacro, directed by Sandro Mabellini), “Estrema guida di puericultua (Extreme guide by childcare” written with Francesca Sangalli (Dante Cappelletti prize finalist, directed by Renato Sarti), “Nel ventre della guerra (In the belly of war)”, for Massimo Popolizio, produced by Pergine Spettacolo Aperto.   

She wins the 2015 Scenario Prize with the “Mad in Europe” project. Her work has been published in Italy (Editorial & Spettacolo) and in France (Les solitaires intempestifs). “J’avais un beaux ballon rouge” is staged in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg for four seasons directed by Michel Didym, winner of the Palmarès Coup de coeur award for the performers Richard and Romane Bohringer.  

She works as an actress with Mimmo Cuticchio, Bano Ferrari, Vittorio Possenti, Peter Clough, Bruno Fornasari, Walter Pagliaro, Mario Gas, Pietro Carriglio. At the cinema with Toni Trupia, Giovanni Calamari, Matteo Ricca, Daniela Persico, Sergio Fabio Ferrari.
