Matteo Biffoni, 43 years old, is a lawyer and mayor of Prato since May of 2014. Since 2014 he has been delegated to Anci (National Association of Italian Municipalities) for immigration and president of Anci Toscana since 2015. As an Anci delegate for immigration he is following reports with the Ministry of Interior for the management of the reception of asylum seekers, in particular in Sprar projects. Socially active in associations, Matteo Biffoni has served as municipal councilor since 2004; in the Political Elections of February 2013 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. He joined parliament Justice Committee. He resigned from deputy in the spring of 2014 to become a mayor.
