Born in Mantua on 12/27/1955.
He lives in Desenzano del Garda (Brescia).
Married to Anna, a retired high school teacher.
Two children, Elena, born 1986 graduate and Nicola, born in 1992, graduating at Bocconi.
Graduated at the Department of Agricultural Sciences in Bologna, in Animal Production Sciences.
Since 1985 he has been Director of Associazione Produttori del Latte in the province of Mantua and economic officer of Coldiretti in Mantua.
Since 1989 he has been Director of Coldiretti Provincial Federation of Padua. Association with 15,000 registered households and 120 employees.
From 1992 to 1994 he was elected Parliamentary Deputy on the lists of D.C, member of the Agriculture Committee of the House of Representatives.
In 1994 he was appointed General Manager of the Associazione Nazionale Bieticoltori, with headquarters in Bologna, with 60,000 associates and about 200 employees.
From 1995 to 1998, formerly Managing Director of ANB, created SADA, a marketing company of beet growers with an annual turnover of more than 50 billion Lire, of which he was Managing Director until 12/31/1998.
In 1995, until 1998, he was also Managing Director of C.S.C., a company providing operational services in the biology system.
Since 1998 he has been General Manager of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium, located in Desenzano del Garda (Brescia), the most important consortium of D.O.P. of Europe.
From 9 December 2013 to June 2017 he was President of Consortium for Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
Since 2009 he has been treasurer of AICIG; From 2012 to 2017 he was also vice president of AICIG.
