Lucio Battistotti is currently head of the Representation of the European Commission in Italy. He has worked for the Commission since 1983, where he has held several management positions. In 1995 he was also appointed to the cabinet of European Commissioner Emma Bonino. He was in charge of communication campaigns for the euro and economic affairs. He graduated in political science at the University of Padua and he has contributed to several Italian publications on economics
