John Milbank (1952) is professor of Religion, politics and ethic at the University of Nottingham. He is author of several books, such as Theology and Social Theory(Malden, Blackwell publishing,1990) and the latest Being Reconciled: Ontology and Pardon (London-New York, Routledge, 2003). He is currently working at a long-term project about the theme of gift in order to develop a “Trinitarian ontology”.
