The devotion to the “Lord of Miracles” is the maximum expression of popular faith in Latin America, a form that better expresses the religious feelings of the Peruvian people.
It started with the veneration of a XVII century image of the crucified Christ. The devotion has generated a series of religious and cultural demonstrations that influence people’s daily life, especially in October, month dedicated to the Lord of the Miracles.
