‘Since the evangelist Matthew has told the story of the Magi’s journey led by the star, various tales, artistic expressions, investigations and folk ‘pietà’ have flourished. This is the theme of the exhibition which is divided into two sections: the historical and iconographical section planned by Franco Cardini (full professor of Medieval History at the University of Florence) and the astronomical section planned by Enrico Gamba.’
