‘John, son of Zebedee, brother of John, of Betsaida. Among the major figures that move around Jesus, he is probably the most enigmatic. No one experiences greater intimacy that him with the Man of Nazareth, not even Peter. That it why his Gospel delves deeper and reaches heights beyond those of other pages of the New Testament, with the risk of dazzling readers. But who is John?
