‘The painter Guido Cagnacci is one of the most fascinating and complex figure in the figurative arts of the seven-teenth century. Starting from Santarcangelo he was able to assert his authority in very important Italian towns (Roma, Bologna, Venezia); he finished his activity at the Vienna court of the Emperor Leopoldo I. The great exhibition is prepared with the collaboration of Rimini municipality and is situated at the Town Museum (Via Tonini 1). It is shown for the first time nearly every known work of this exceptional artist: more than 40 pictures, which include both the sacred and the profane production. The works come from Romagna and Montefeltro churches, from museums and private Italian (Milano – Firenze – Bologna – Forl\u00ec – Rimini) and European collections. Daniele Benati and Marco Bona Castellotti are the co-ordinators (both of them history of art research workers).’<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
