Ilaria Signoriello (Genzano di Roma, 04 February 1980) graduated in Science and Institutions for Development Cooperation at the University La Sapienza of Rome, since 2007 works closely with the founder of thea Comunità di Capodarco, Don Franco Monterubbianesi and with the cooperative “Agricoltura Capodarco”, founded in 1978 and among the first experiences of social agriculture in Italy.
Actually she is speaker of the Forum Nazionale Agricoltura Sociale, a community of practices which since 2011 has been able to aggregate at the national and regional levels hundreds of farms, social cooperatives, associations, schools, universities, get involved with institutions at all levels from local to European.
She has held several lectures on the Italian model of “social agriculture and Welfare” in Italy, in Europe and the United States, with great interest in an area which qualifies Italy among the most advanced countries in Europe and in the world. Among theme, the Robert Morrison University in Pittsburgh, USA in November 2015; International Conference “Social Agriculture and Microcredit” organized by Mipaaf at EXPO, Italian Pavilion, September 2015; The International Conference “European Networking in Social Farming – Experiences from Italy, Portugal and the Czech Republic” – University of Kassel, Faculty of Life Sciences, Witzenhausen, Germany, in September 2014.
Since 2010, she is National Director of Cipsi, (Coordinamento di Iniziative Popolari di Solidarietà Internazionale) that it combines 38 NGOs and for which she served as spokesman of the International Campaign NOPPAW (Nobel Peace Prize for African Women), for the award of the Nobel Prize Peace to African women, in addition to coordinating the project for Italy of Education for Development EAS “Challenging the Crisis”, co-funded by the European Commission, with 6 countries partners: Italy, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Slovenia. The project has led to the current petition questioning in September at the European Parliament, for the recognition of 2018 as “International Year of Social and Solidarity Economy” which included social farming in the Italian model of the most innovative practices of ES in support of the petition.
