Ciambotti Massimo

Massimo Ciambotti was born on March 29, 1958 in San Severino Marche. He achieved in a.y. 1980/81 a degree in Economics and Business at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Urbino, headquartered in Ancona, with the highest marks and since 1982 has been authorized to practice the profession of Accountant.
He started his academic career as a researcher in 1984 at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Urbino, where he was appointed associate professor in 1998 and a professor in 2002 for the disciplinary science sector SECS-P / 07 (Business Economics). He has held several university teaching positions (including Corporate Economics, Programming and Control, Cost Analysis and Accounting) and has held teaching activities in various business training courses both in Italy and abroad.
At the same University of Urbino he has held several positions: Director of the Institute of Business Studies (1998-2005), Coordinator of the Doctorate in Business Administration and in Economics and Management, Director of the University Master in Nautical Business Management, member of the Evaluation Team (2006 to 2009), Head of the Economics Faculty and Member of the Academic Senate from 2009 to 2012.
Always at the same University of Urbino, currently he holds the position of Pro-Rector to the Budget.
Since 1988 he has been a member of the Italian editorial board of the International Small Business / Small Business magazine and of several Scientific Committees of national magazines and editorial necklaces.
Since 2008, he has also been President of the Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (ASPI), established at the Faculty of Economics in Urbino. From July 2000 to December 2005, he was a member of the Evaluation and Strategic Control Team of the Regional Institution for the Right to University Study (E.R.S.U.).
He has lent innumerable collaborations to public and territorial authorities. In particular the activity of auditor and member of evaluation team in various public bodies.
He is a regular member of the Italian Academy of Business Economics (AIDEA), of the Italian Society of Accountants and Business Economics (SIDREA), of the Italian Society of Accounting History (SISR), of the Academy of Accounting Historians and of the Raffaello Academy of Urbino.
He is also President of the Claudi Foundation, headquartered in Rome, and member of the Board of Directors of the Marchini Foundation in Urbino.
His research activity has been realized in numerous publications, both monographic works and articles and papers (many in international journals), mainly on small and medium-sized enterprises, inter-company collaborations, history of accountancy, planning and management control, intellectual capital, strategic management in family businesses.
