Bonaccini Stefano
He was born in Modena, Italy, on the 1st of January 1967.
From 1999 to 2006 he was Councilor for the City of Modena with responsibility for public works and cultural heritage, and again from 2009 to 2010, the year he was elected regional Councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
In 1995 he was elected secretary of the Democratic Party of the Left for Modena.
In 2007 he became the provincial secretary of the new formed Democratic Party and two years later Bonaccini was elected regional secretary of the PD for Emilia-Romagna.
On 13 December 2013, he was appointed national coordinator for “Local Authorities” in the national secretariat of the PD, under the leadership of Matteo Renzi, who Bonaccini supported in the 2013 primary election.
Elected President of the Emilia-Romagna Region on 23 November 2014, from 17 December 2015 he is also President of the Conference representing all the Italian Regions.
