Vokřál Petr
Czech politician, Lord Mayor of the City of Brno. He has been internationally appreciated because of the May 2015 “Declaration of Reconciliation and a Joint Future”, approved by the Brno City Council under his leadership. With this gesture the city expressed regret for the violent expulsion of Brno’s German-speaking children, women and elderly people in 1945 and thus opened up a new chapter in mutual relations.

The Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples Foundation was born from the desire of some friends to meet, get to know, and bring to Rimini all that is beautiful and good in the culture of the time.
The Meeting
In the last week of August, Rimini becomes the capital of international culture and is overrun by 'the Meeting people,' as defined by the media: curious, open-minded, discerning individuals from all over the world who gather for this event, which has been taking place since the early 1980s.
