Siniscalco Maria Teresa
Maria Teresa Siniscalco is a researcher and consultant in the field of educational assessment, with extensive experience at both national and international levels. She graduated with honors in Philosophy from the University of Rome La Sapienza (1987), earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Pedagogy (1994), and obtained certification as a professional facilitator (2016).
From 2001 to 2005, she served as National Project Manager for PISA 2003, appointed by the Italian Ministry of Education at INVALSI, also overseeing regional and national relations. She later collaborated with INVALSI in various phases, contributing to the development and analysis of Italian language assessments and conducting teacher training activities.
She has provided consultancy services for Italian institutions (such as Associazione TreeLLLe and Zanichelli) and international organizations (including UNESCO, UNICEF, ILO, OECD, and Eurydice). She also worked as a senior researcher at the IEA in Hamburg for the TIMSS study.
She has participated in numerous conferences and seminars, and is the author of over 40 publications, including scientific articles, research reports, and contributions on assessment, literacy, PISA, and comparative education.
