Rossi Marco

Marco Rossi is a Professor of Medieval Art History and the Director of the Postgraduate School of Historic-Artistic Heritage at the Faculty of Humanities of the Catholic University of Milan.
He is a member of the scientific committee of the “Rivista di storia della miniature” and “Arte lombarda”, collaborates in several national and international research projects related to the Romanesque and Gothic figurative culture.
He is part of the Steering Committee of the Italian Association of Art Historians Medieval.
In his studies he worked in the area of International Gothic Art and Architecture in Europe, with research on the construction site of the Cathedral of Milan, on the miniature at the court of the Visconti and on the personality of Giovannino de Grassi. He completed iconographic research on the Apocalypse and the Last Supper, as well as investigations on Medieval and Renaissance Painting in Lombardy. He studied Medieval and Romanesque Art in Lombardy, in both its architectural and painting aspects.
He is the author of over 150 scientific publications and several monographs.
