Lubin Flaminia

Flaminia Lubin is the producer and director of the film. She has been producing independent documentaries since 2003. Her productions include The Cough of Ground Zero (2003), which was highly-acclaimed and won the prestigious Premio Ilaria Alpi award; Mystery Life of a Geisha (2004); The Persecuted of the Falun Gong (2005); and Sex Slaves of Katmandu (2006). Born in Rome and educated at the University of Perugia, she moved to New York where she began her career in television journalism with the New York subsidiary of RAI Italia, Italy’s national television network. In 2001 she became a correspondent with “La 7,” Italy’s leading independent news network, where she reported on politics, foreign policy and social issues. She is the author of Come una Geisha (Like a Geisha), published by Cadmo Editori in 2005.
