Who we are
Fabbri Fellini Francesca

Francesca Fabbri Fellini was born in Bologna in 1965 under the sign of Gemini, ascendant Libra. From that day on, it is written in the stars that she will be curious, gifted with a great sense of humour, theatrical, communication skills and a great likability.
In constant search of intellectual stimulation.
Her profession when she grows up?
It will have to do with the world of words.
In Bologna, on 6 June ‘65, the day of his baptism, his parents, Maria Maddalena Fellini and Dr. Giorgio Fabbri chose his uncle, Federico Fellini, as godfather and his aunt, Giulietta Masina, as godmother.
Uncle ‘Chicco’, as she called him, taught her from an early age that there are two lives: one with open eyes and one with closed eyes.
As a native of Emilia-Romagna she is endowed with personal courage, industriousness,a lively sense
hospitality, a frank, open and cheerful character.
She graduated from Liceo Linguistico.
At the age of 23, after graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature, she moved to live in Rome, where her life would unfold until 2006, when she returned to Rimini, where she now lives and works.
In 1987, she signed her first video writing contract with Rai, for the programme ‘Muoviamoci’ on Rai Due, with Sidney Rome, a good 180 episodes. After this experience, she signed many other contracts with Rai, with the title of video writing.
From 1999 to 2006, she was one of the correspondents of ‘La vita in diretta’, the historic afternoon programme on air on Rai since 1991.
She has worked with famous television writers such as Michele Guardì, Enza Sampò, Giovanni Minoli, Daniel Toaff and Licia Colò.
She loves television, but cinema has always been in her DNA (she defines herself as having ‘grown up on cinema and tortellini’): between 1993 and 1997 she collaborated with the
radio network RTL 102.5, dealing precisely with cinema, and thanks to this experience she became a professional journalist in 1997.
In 2003, Francesca, together with her mother Maria Maddalena, signed a book of memories and recipes entitled ‘A tavola con Fellini’ (At the Table with Fellini), which in a new edition in 2013 will become ‘A tavola con Fellini- Ricette da Oscar della sorella Maddalena.
Cooking, family, cinema and films.
A Federico Fellini told through his preferences and dining habits.
A journey through the flavours of Emilia-Romagna tradition and the history of world cinema.
‘A book to spread Fellini’s passion for traditional cuisine to the world. This is the reason that prompted Francesca to publish this book.
From 2004 to 2006, she signed and hosted on the RTL radio network the programme ‘Asa NIsi MAsa – L’ANIMA del cinema’, which took its name from the magic phrase repeated by Guido/Mastroianni, the protagonist of Fellini’s ‘Otto e mezzo’.
Since 2009, after meeting photographer Graziano Villa (life and work companion), he has been in charge of curating his photographic exhibitions, from conception to final realisation.
He manages and organises Villa’s portfolio, presenting it to galleries and festivals.
He develops projects for photo exhibitions, writes press releases and manages the communication of the event independently, also knowing the techniques of
lighting and staging techniques useful for exhibitions.
The ‘Fellinette’, as her uncle Federico used to call her, (drawing her in crayons in a notebook sheet), loves good food, cinema, theatre, radio, books, photography, flowers and above all taking long walks on the beach with her greatest friend: Alfie, a white poodle who lacks speech.
For the centenary celebrations of her uncle Federico Fellini’s birth, Francesca wrote and directed a mixed-media short film that starts from the animation of the drawing he made of her as a child, ‘La Fellinette’,
to arrive in a live action dream and return to animation with a grand finale.
For her directorial debut, Francesca has chosen a silent fairy tale suspended between dream and reality.
Francesca Fabbri Fellini is the last heir by DNA of Maestro Federico Fellini.
She is Ambassador to the world of the Man of 5 Oscars.
A journalist colleague said to her one day: ‘I wish you from the bottom of my heart Francesca to remain a senator for life of Fellini’s dreaminess in the world!
The life of Francesca Fabbri Fellini in an aphorism?
