Doninelli Luca

Luca Doninelli was born in Leno (Bs) in 1956. In 1978, he met Giovanni Testori, his mentor. Among his narrative works are: “I due fratelli” (1990), “La revoca” (1992, Selezione Campiello Award), “Le decorose memorie” (1994), “Talk show” (1996), “La nuova era” (1999, finalist for the Strega Prize), “Tornavamo dal mare” (2004), “La polvere di Allah” (2006), and “Fa’ che questa strada non finisca mai” (2014). Among his essays are: “Il crollo delle aspettative” (2005), “Cattedrali” (2011), and “Salviamo Firenze” (2012). In 2015, his most important book, “Le cose semplici,” was published by Bompiani, which he worked on for several years and was among the winners of the Selezione Campiello Prize in 2016. In September 2017, the collection of short stories “La conoscenza di sé” was released by La Nave di Teseo. Also published by La Nave di Teseo in the spring was the autobiographical essay “Una gratitudine senza debiti,” dedicated to Giovanni Testori.
