Cipollone Piero

Born in 1962, Italian nationality is married and he has two children.
After graduating from Economics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, he holds a Master of Arts in Economics at Stanford University. In 2001 he is Visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
In 1993 he was employed at the Bank of Italy and assigned to the Research Department, where he worked for 15 years. Economist at the Office of Payments Balance, in 2004 takes over the direction of the Labor Market Office. In 2007 he was appointed Extraordinary Commissioner, then Chairman of the INVALSI Research Institute, which he leaves in 2011. From 2010 to October 2014 he is Executive Director at the World Bank representing Italy, Albania, Greece, Malta, Portugal, San Marino and Timor-Leste, and he is, among other things, the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Back in the Bank, since November 2014, he is Head of Planning and Control Service.
He is author and co-author of many articles and papers on international trade, job economics and education economics published in numerous academic journals, including the American Economic Review and the Journal of the European Economic Association, he taught economics at Luiss University in Rome and at the University of L’Aquila.
From 1st January 2017 he is Deputy Head of the Department of Budget and Control.
