Who we are
Ceccolini Nicolò

Nicolò Ceccolini (Cattolica, 1987), after graduating from high school in 2006 he entered the seminary of the Saint Charles Fraternity in Rome where he was ordained a priest in 2013. From 2012 he was vice-rector of the seminary until September 2017. During these years he continued his theological studies, obtaining a licence in Christology at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. From 2011, while still a seminarian, he undertook a charitable experience in Rome’s ‘Casal del Marmo’ juvenile prison. In addition to the many boys he met, one of the most decisive encounters was with Father Gaetano Greco, who had been chaplain at the facility since 1981. The following years gave rise to an increasingly concrete friendship and cooperation in favour of the most disadvantaged boys, both inside and outside the prison. In 2017, he was appointed chaplain of the Rome juvenile prison ‘Casal del Marmo’. With Father Gaetano, he collaborates on two projects: in the Borgo Amigò educational community, which he founded in 1995 and which welcomes boys released from prison or sent on an alternative measure to imprisonment; and he is a partner in the Gusto Libero Cooperative for the creation of a pasta factory inside the juvenile prison that offers a training and work opportunity for young adult inmates.
