Who we are
“SE IO FOSSI UN ANGELO” (Per poter riderci sopra… Per continuare a sperare…) – Breve viaggio nella poetica e nella visione di Lucio Dalla. Lezione/evento di Cristiano Governa
Free admission with reservation
There is a poem whose title is longer than the poem itself: “Instructions for living a life” by Mary Oliver, which reads: “Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it”. These three words form the soul of Lucio Dalla’s work. How did Lucio observe? What amazed him? What strategies did he use to convey all of this to us? He observed with the eyes of a child, was amazed by how much life radiated from strangers, and he told us through his songs. Se io fossi un angelo (If I Were an Angel) is a short journey—in words and music—into Lucio’s universe and poetics, into his ability to remain childlike while also digging into the grooves of daily life, “so we can laugh about it, so we can keep hoping,” as he confessed in “L’anno che verrà”. We will discover Lucio’s talent for salvation: his ability to save the human beings simply by narrating them and dispelling the suspicion that life is made just to come to an end.
With Andrea Campi on vocals and guitar, and Tiziano Guerzoni on cello.
