One of the greatest misfortunes that can befall a human being on planet Earth in 2024 is to stumble upon a seemingly harmless word—just four letters long: soul. A real trap. This journey begins with that very stumble, a terrible collision that took place the moment a new mother and father were faced with an insurmountable challenge: “You’ve made a body, now you must make a soul.” It’s a journey fight — uncomfortable, abrasive, even painful — with a word, with that word.
